I have been in and out of writing spaces since I was a teenager. In college, I made the debatably wise decision to study Creative Writing as a part of my degree path; I didn’t unlock any super secret level of creativity or automatically get offered a deal with an agent/publisher, but I did discover my passion for editing, which I guess I would call a win?
