I offer line editing for history, memoir, self-help, personal development, and other nonfiction manuscripts.

I tend to describe line editing as a combination of developmental and copyediting. I will make developmental comments on the manuscript while also editing for grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage, and the like.
Unlike developmental editing, however, there is no editorial letter included in this package; rather, all developmental feedback will be given in the form of comments.

If you have any questions about my edits, this service also includes one round of follow-up questions via email, where you can tell me anything and everything that comes to mind, and ask for some additional advice.
I also offer video calls for those who would prefer to receive feedback in that manner; you may schedule a video call here.

Things to Note

  • I am comfortable reading content of all levels of maturity; graphic scenes and language of any nature is acceptable, though I may comment on them if they do not fit the intended audience.
  • I try to appreciate the fact that every author has their own unique manner and style of writing; thus, comments on style will only be made from my impression of the writing as a whole, and will purely be suggestions.
  • While I will make comments on your manuscript, I will not re-write any sections. That is not within the purview of an editor, but rather of a book doctor/ghostwriter, which I do not have any interest in becoming.

Some Disclaimers
I reserve the right to refuse any manuscript for any reason; if I feel like we would not be a good fit, I do not need to specify the exact reasoning behind this decision. Conversely, you have the right to work with any editor that you choose; requesting information, or even a quote, for your manuscript does not obligate you to work with me if you don’t feel like we would be a good fit.
All requests are subject to my personal availability, and will be scheduled as soon as my calendar allows.

Thank you for reading, and I look forward to working with you!

The information that will be given to them includes your name, email address, and genre/word count of your manuscript.
